Abstract
The objectives of this dissertation are: To establish the benefits gained from moulding road landform. To examine environmental factors influencing individual slope design. To investigate road landform moulding techniques adopted in other countries, especially U.S.A. and West Germany. To investigate general road landform treatment in New Zealand, with reference to specific examples from the South Island. To make recommendations for future road landform modification in New Zealand.
