Abstract
This dissertation presents data on the location and timing of pukeko road kills from mid November 1996 to the end of April 1997 and documents pukeko roadside presence. The research population included pukeko found at Otukaikino Reserve, a small wetland area (20 ha), situated next to the Christchurch Northern Motorway. Two other littoral habitats, Greigs Drain Road and Waimakariri, used by the pukeko during the breeding season, were also monitored
