Abstract
The influence of two slubbing linear densities on the bulk of woollen yarn spun at several draft ratios was investigated to determine any effects on the bulk of single and twofold yarns. Bulk of single yarns decreased with increasing draft ratio. Linear density of yarns drafted at the same draft ratio had little effect on the bulk of single and twofold yarns. Changes in bulk of yarns due to processing are due to changes in draft and twist because of their influence on fibre arrangement in yarns.
