Abstract
The aim of this thesis was to study the population dynamics of soil bacteriophages with particular emphasis on those belonging to the Genus Bacillus. Since few phages active against B. circulans have been reported, attempts were made to isolate such phages and these were used as test material in this predominantly ecological survey.
