Abstract
This dissertation involves a study on vandalism in urban reserves as seen from parks management and design personnel, primarily in the Christchurch district. It covers the major target areas of vandalism and the types of vandalism experienced within these areas. Recommendations are made to reduce both the incidence and impact of vandalism. It also discusses various reasons for vandalism, and some of the societal groups involved with vandalism.
