Abstract
Outdoor education has become a common term over the past ten years. The growth in this area has meant that adventure activities are used for a wide range of purposes. This dissertation looks at adolescent development and raise awareness of the world around them.
It also provides a philosophical framework for Christian outdoor educators by assessing the aims and objectives of outdoor education from a Christian perspective. These have been. described in a practical context using case studies of two outdoor organisations and comments from interviews.
