Abstract
The Research Objectives of this dissertation, as reflected in the survey questionnaire, which is included in the Appendix, can be divided, broadly, into three sections -
1. To investigate - the reasons that small, private investors, invest in rental property, the types of rental property investments these investors prefer, and the expectations of these investors.
2. To analyse the rental properties owned by respondents, in particular in the Christchurch district.
3. To examine - the role of, the advantages of belonging to, and the degree of efficiency of, the Canterbury Property Investors' Association.
