Abstract
Water resource management involving collaborative groups has been poorly studies world wide, especially comparative learnings from Australia and New Zealand. This study reports on a comparative evaluation from multiple cases across both countries. It finds differences - New Zealand is stronger in including its indigenous voice consistent with the Treaty of Waitangi; Australia is stronger in mandating monitoring and reporting.
