Local, regional, national and international aspects of managing NZ's braided rivers: 'finally we are walking the talk!'
Abstract
Interest in braided river wildlife has grown steadily since the early 1980s. But recently this interest, from research and conservation perspectives has grown - more resource is being invested and research has identified critical pathways to conservation success. This paper discusses these developments and presents a cautionary but optimistic view of the future.
