Abstract
The research for this presentation took place in two stages. In the first stage, the AERU drew on previous work it has completed for Antarctica New Zealand (Saunders, Dalziel and Hayes, 2007; Saunders, Dalziel and Guenther, 2013; and Saunders, Guenther and Dalziel, 2016) to define the Antarctic-related sector based in Christchurch. This material, which includes descriptions of different elements in the sector and identifies the major market participants.
In the second stage, semi-structured interviews with key personnel in the sector were conducted that explored the issues.
