An Investigation has been conducted to the study the wind as a source of power for the generation of electricity. The Literature on the subject has been summarised and in some aspects extended to suit the nature of the investigations. A procedure for assessing the power available from the wind at a given site has been stated as an example of an analysis using wind data obtained locally has been given. The theory of wind machines has been briefly stated and discussed. Suggestions regarding the application of wind generated electricity in agriculture have been included, together with a simple cost analysis.en
