Abstract
This study investigates whether a flow control structure at the bi-furcation of the Lower Wairau River and Wairau Diversion will cause sufficient channel bed erosion in the Lower Wairau channel to provide required flood hazard protection, protect recreational opportunities and maintain or enhance freshwater/marine habitat.
